WKG Well Water
Chlorination Systems
Benefits
- Disinfects your water. The result of proper chlorination
is safe, disinfected potable water.
- Mineral Removal. Chlorination
can remove large amounts of iron, manganese and hydrogen
sulfide. This will eliminate
the black or red staining on your
home
and fixtures.
- Improved Taste. The de-chlorination process helps produce
clean, clear great tasting water and eliminates odors.
- Removes
Chlorine. The activated carbon stage filters out up to 99.9%
of chlorine and all chlorine by-products formed
during the disinfection
process of the
water.
- Removes Contaminates. Removes up to 98.7% of solvents, gasoline,
pesticides, trihalomethanes and radon.
How it works: Chlorination treatment systems are
an “at
the source” system
installed at your water supply or well. The treatment consists of two stages,
the Chlorination System and the Activated Carbon Filtration System.
First
Stage: The Chlorination Treatment System destroys disease-causing bacteria,
nuisance bacteria, parasites and other organisms. Chlorination also removes
iron by oxidizing the iron into a filterable reddish insoluble form and
also helps
to remove manganese and hydrogen sulfide from water. The chlorine is injected
directly into the water supply at the source. The chlorinated water then
enters a solution storage tank to ensure the chlorine has sufficient contact
time
to properly disinfect the water prior to use.
Second Stage: The Activated
Carbon Filtration System is used to de-chlorinate the water
after the chlorine has done its work. In addition to the elimination
of chlorine, the activated carbon improves taste and removes odors from
the water supply along with removal of most chlorinated and non-chlorinated
solvents,
gasoline,
pesticides, trihalomethanes and radon. The system uses water pressure
to
force the incoming water through a bed of activated carbon to remove
chlorine and
its by-products along with other contaminates from your water prior to
entering your
home.

Activated Carbon Filtration
Benefits:
- Improved Taste. Produces clean, clear,
great tasting water and eliminates odors.
- Removes Chlorine.
Filters out up to 99.9% of chlorine and all chlorine by-products
formed during the disinfection
process of the water.
- Removes Contaminates. Removes up
to 98.7% of solvents, gasoline, pesticides, trihalomethanes
and radon.
How it
works: Activated Carbon Filtration is a point of entry (POE)
system treating all the water entering your home and installed
at the incoming
water source.
The activated carbon filtration uses water pressure to forces the
incoming water through a bed of activated carbon to remove chlorine
and its
by-products along
with other contaminates from your water. The activated carbon also
eliminates taste and odor in the water supply, many organic compounds,
such as chlorinated
and non-chlorinated solvents, gasoline, pesticides, trihalomethanes
and radon. The system uses a single tank regeneration system to
backwash and clean the
accumulated contaminates from the carbon. The regeneration cycle
is automated
with an electric
timer that flushes the system on a regular schedule.*

Soft Water Filtration
Benefits
- In the Laundry.
Soft water eliminates the soap that clings to clothes, makes
clothes cleaner and brighter and that will
last
up to 30% longer.
- In the Bathroom. Soft water helps keep your hair and skin
soft. Eliminate hard water stains and water spots.
- In
The Kitchen. Stops water spots and makes dishes and glassware
sparkle. Keeps natural flavor of foods, coffee
and tea by reducing
unwanted minerals.
- In the Whole House. Save money on
detergents and laundry additives and prevents 'lime scale'
in your plumbing,
water heaters, laundry
equipment and dishwashers.
How it works: Soft Water Filtration
is a “point of entry” (POE)
system installed at the main incoming water line to your home.
This allows the system
to treat every drop of water that enters the house, sometimes
described as a “whole
house system”.
Soft water filtration uses ion exchange
media or resin to filter mineral contaminates from the water
supply. The softening resin
or media contained
in the tank removes
the calcium, magnesium and manganese or “hardness” from
the water as the water is passed through it. The two-tank system
uses an automatic regenerating
system to clean itself after the media becomes saturated with
these minerals. The system uses a brine solution stored in
a separate tank to regenerate or flush
and clean the resin. The regeneration system is automated with
an electric timer that regenerates the system on a regular
schedule.
* All Elite Series Softeners include Activated Carbon Filtration.

Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water System
Benefits
- Improved Taste.
Produces clean, clear, great tasting water and eliminates
odors.
- Removes Chlorine. Filters out up to 99.9% of chlorine
and all chlorine by-products formed during the disinfection
process
of
the water.
- Removes Contaminates. Removes up to
98.7% of solvents, gasoline, pesticides, trihalomethanes
and radon.
- Purified Drinking Water. You will never need to
purchase bottled water again. You will have delicious, sparkling
clear water available

the tap at your
sink.
- Cooking. Using purified water makes better
tasting foods, coffee, and tea. RO water can
be supplied
to your refrigerator
to produce
clean clear
ice
cubes and have pure cold water available at
your refrigerator door.
- Microline Reverse Osmosis Drinking
Water Systems are validated by the Water Quality
Association
(WQA) under
Industry Standard
S-300-91 and
certified by NSF.
How it works: Reverse Osmosis
Filtration is used to provide up to 25 gallons of
purified drinking
water per day on
demand at
special tap
installed on
your sink. This water can also be routed
to
your refrigerator for ice and a second
source of drinking water. The water is
purified by using normal water
pressure inside your home to force water
through a series of filtration media.
When water first enters the R.O. System, it
flows through a pre-filter to filter out larger
particles such as silt, rust or scale.
Next, the water is directed to the R.O. membrane
itself
to
isolate the contaminants
and substantially
reduce
dissolved
solids.
Typical contaminant rejection rates of the R.O.
membrane range from 85% to 99%. This cleaner, purer, refined
water is then stored
in
a
holding tank,
ready at your
convenience. When the faucet tap is activated, the system
draws water from the holding
tank
and
passes through another carbon filter, to remove any remaining
tastes and odors before dispensing.

Ultraviolet Disinfection System
Benefits
- Complete Sterilization:
Provides safe, sterilized water to your whole house. All bacteria,
viruses, microorganisms
and
pathogens are sterilized
and inactivated
to eliminate threat to human health. UV systems
can be used with any type water supply with or without additional
treatment.
Ultraviolet
Treatment System is
a point of entry (POE) system treating all the
water entering your
home and installed
at the main incoming water line. Ultraviolet disinfection
systems channel
water past submerged UV lamps that emit lethal
doses of UV energy,
destroying any
pathogens and sterilizing the water. When bacteria,
viruses,
and other microorganisms are
exposed to germicidal UV light at a particular
wavelength (253.7 nanometers) their reproductive capabilities
are destroyed, which means that they
are
inactivated and no longer pose a threat to human
health.
